What is this form?

BIR Form 2551M, or also known as Monthly Percentage Tax Return are business taxes which are imposed on businesses or individuals who sells/lease goods or services which are exempted from Value Added Tax (VAT) with annual sales not exceeding 3,000,000 PHP.

Who needs to file?

Individuals/businesses which are engaged in the following industries/transactions:

  • Cars for rent or hire
  • International air/shipping carriers doing business within PH
  • Franchise grantees of the following:
  • Radio/television broadcasting with gross annual receipts that does not exceed to Php 10,000,000.00
  • Gas and Water utilities
  • Financial and other non-financial bank intermediaries which performs quasi-banking functions
  • Individuals/businesses or corporation doing insurance businesses (except cooperative companies and associations)
  • Any form of fire, marine and foreign insurance companies.

When to file?

Within twenty (20) days following the end of each month.

Please take note that your tax forms will be sent electronically to the BIR until 9pm. Any forms that will be sent beyond that filing deadline will be transmitted within the next business day.
