What is this file?

MAP files, or also known as Monthly Alphalist of Payees, is a consolidated alphalist of income earners which contains information on taxes withheld based on the data presented in monthly remittance returns such as BIR Form Nos. 1601-E, 1601-F, 1600.

Who needs to file?

Withholding agents listed in sections 2.57.3, 4.114, 5.116 of the Revenue Regulations No. 2-98, who are required to remit taxes withheld and have more than ten (10) income payees- income recipient per return periods are required to submit electronic copies of MAP file in a 3.5 inch floppy diskette in accordance with the format as set by the BIR.

When to file?

Deadline for accomplishing of MAP files is same as the dates set for filing of forms such as 1601E, 1601F and 1600 which is on or before the 10th day of the month following the month in which withholding was made.

Please take note that your tax forms will be sent electronically to the BIR until 9pm. Any forms that will be sent beyond that filing deadline will be transmitted within the next business day.
