Marvin is greatly passionate about technology and its applications in making processes more convenient for all. With his passion for technology and his expertise in cloud computing and accounting, Marvin founded Double Rule in 2013. Double Rule is a cloud technology accounting firm that was awarded as Xero’s 2014 Accounting Partner of the Year for the United States. Though he had been serving US clients primarily, he had the urge to fulfill his responsibility to his profession by helping his fellow Filipino accountants improve and grow their practice through technology. Marvin developed JuanTax, a cloud-based tax platform that automates tax preparation, books of accounts, and financial reports. Times are constantly changing, and fast; he made JuanTax as a way for accountants to easily adapt and survive.
Jenny Galang
Chief Operating Officer
Like Marvin, Jenny concerns herself on how to make processes, specifically accounting processes, more efficient. Because of this, she became the powerhouse of all JuanTax operations. With her leadership, accounting firms, business owners, and even self-employed individuals can conduct their businesses more efficiently with JuanTax. While being the Chief Operating Officer for JuanTax, she also manages Double Rule alongside Marvin. Before co-founding JuanTax and Double Rule, Jenny was an Accounting Supervisor for Theorem LLP – USA. There, she managed international accounts by performing financial analyses and advisories.
Dennis Choi
Chief Technical Officer
Dennis became an integral part of The United State’s fight against terrorism. He became a support for the US Military Scientists and Analysts and worked with them on the Nexus 7 project in Afghanistan. They were working on war-zone deployment research for the Defense Advanced Research Project (DARPA). After working for the US Government, Dennis became a software engineer for companies such as Booz Allen Hamilton, Sotera Defense Solutions, and California Virtual Academies. With a very decorated resume, he now serves as the Chief Technical Officer for JuanTax. Dennis is the man responsible for materializing all the technical goals and aspects of the JuanTax platform.
Ronaldo Castro
Director of Revenue
Ron has over 30 years of corporate experience across several industries. Notably, he was the former President of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for several Asian markets, and prior to that was regional marketing manager of Eastman Kodak Asia Pacific. Today, Ron shares his knowledge from his years of experience as a senior management and marketing consultant. As a consultant, he wore multiple hats including interim country manager at Mineski Philippines, president of GG Company Inc., and Chief Revenue Officer at JuanTax. He is also a master corporate trainer with Catalyst Training and Consultancy Inc. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at Enderun Colleges teaching a class in Modern Marketing Strategies.
Norbert Enriquez
Director of Operations
Norbert is an industrial engineer with a knack for making things run smoothly. As the Director of Operations, he’s all about improving processes, optimizing workflows, and getting the most out of every opportunity. With a strong focus on data analytics, Norbert uses insights to guide smart business decisions. He’s also great at building relationships, especially when it comes to working with investors and helping to build solid partnerships and secure key investments.
AJ Araneta
AJ Araneta is a dynamic leader in the outsourcing industry, with a proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence. As the CEO of PayRun, AJ has spearheaded the company’s growth in the accounting and bookkeeping sector in the Philippines, leveraging his extensive experience in business process outsourcing (BPO) to deliver seamless and efficient solutions for clients.
Under AJ’s leadership, PayRun has become a key player in the market, known for its commitment to customer service and continuous improvement. His strategic vision and hands-on approach have been instrumental in optimizing processes and reducing costs for businesses, enabling them to streamline their operations effectively.Before founding PayRun, AJ held several senior positions in the BPO industry, including Managing Director at Taskraft KPO Corporation, Director for Rampiere IT Solutions and Banwa Coworking Solutions. His roles have spanned various functions, from human resources and talent acquisition to procurement and outsourcing management, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of the industry.
AJ’s passion for technology and process improvement is evident in his work. He is a certified Xero Adviser and has been actively involved in promoting ICT development across the Philippines.
Myla Hernandez
Myla serves as the Manager of Retail Sales at Beppo, where she applies her strategic acumen to drive growth and enhance customer engagement. Her dual role seamlessly integrates financial expertise with retail management, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of finance and sales.
Recognizing the potential of cloud-based accounting systems, Myla transitioned from corporate employment to entrepreneurship, founding her own firm dedicated to leveraging these innovations for Filipino businesses. Her firm specializes in utilizing cutting-edge tax accounting software to help businesses achieve seamless tax compliance and financial efficiency.
Lot Buluran
Lot is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and co-founder of Tala Buluran and Co. and Unified Global Philippines, with over a decade of experience in the accounting industry. She began her career at SGV & Co., a member practice of Ernst & Young (EY) Global Limited, where she gained valuable expertise in audit, tax, and business advisory. She later founded her own firms, where she now leads as Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer.
Lot excels in delivering customized solutions across various industries and has successfully navigated complex tax regulations. Additionally, she is a director and investor in Beppo, the first AI-driven bookkeeping and tax platform in the Philippines, where she has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the accounting industry through innovative technology.
