Filings for December — As the tax season goes to a close, here’s a simple reminder that we still have to survive just one last tax hurrah before we start popping those holiday bottles, as there’s still plenty of taxes to be accomplished by the end of the year.
Below is a list of tax forms that you need to file for the month of December:
For Withholding Agents
Note: If you’re a taxpayer who also happens to be someone who’s managing employees/professionals or rents a space for your business, then you need to file the following tax forms:
Compensation
You have to report your employee’s amount of compensation income with the BIR and to achieve that, you’ll need to file tax form 1601-C (or Monthly Remittance Return of Income Taxes Withheld on Compensation).

Remittance Forms
The following tax forms are used in paying expanded and final withholding taxes:
- 0619-E – Monthly Remittance Form for Creditable Income Taxes WIthheld (Expanded)
- 0619-F – Monthly Remittance Form for Final Income Taxes Withheld)

Tax Certificates
You’ll also have to issue tax certificates with the BIR, such as the following:
- 2306 or Certificate of Final Income Tax Withheld
- 2307 or Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source

VAT (Value-Added Tax)
For VAT purposes, you’ll need to file BIR form 2550M or Monthly Value-Added Tax Declaration.
Serving as a form of indirect tax, Value-Added Tax is a form of sales tax that are imposed on sales in goods and services that are intended for consumption in the Philippines.

Quarterly Tax Filing
For QE 30 November 2018, you also have to process the following quarterly returns for VAT and percentage taxes:
- 2551Q or Quarterly Percentage Tax Return
- 2550Q or Quarterly Value-Added Tax Returns along with an attached SLSP (Summary Lists of Sales and Purchases)
