This National Heroes’ Day, we would like to honor and pay tribute to our modern day heroes — the hardworking men and women who continuously pay taxes for the growth of our country, as well as our fellow small business owners and Accountants who help each other in complying with tax requirements.
A Salute to Our Modern Heroes
Where I Came From, Everyone is a Hero — this statement says everything. Heroism isn’t measured simply by the life that you live and the good acts that you did, but with all the hard work that you give for your country.
Wherever you go, there is always a hard-working Filipino striving for success: They are our OFWs who leave their families to sustain their needs. Our small business owners who are struggling when it comes to compliance, and our Accountants who instead of working abroad, chooses to stay in the country just to help local businesses move forward and thrive.
They’re the modern Rizals, Mabinis and Bonifacios of our time. But of course, living as a hero comes with a much greater responsibility (no pun intended).
Paying taxes is a perfect example. Let’s face it. Having your taxes paid on time makes you feel like a responsible citizen — as if you’re someone who willingly contributes to something for the economic growth. But as you know, being a hero isn’t that easy.
There’s No Need to Be A Hero…in Filing Taxes
The procedures alone of tax compliance is a huge concern to most of our small businesses. Aside from the enormous number of requirements, taxpayers would fall in line in banks just to pay their taxes — even ordinary taxpayers are hustling whenever the deadline for submission of income tax return arrives.
We believe that there’s more to being a “tax hero” who will stop at nothing just to get those tax forms filed and submitted in due time. Keeping up with tax filing nowadays is such a tedious chore, especially with all the new tax provisions and forms that just keeps on coming.
By its definition, “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”, and these tax struggles are the same reasons of why we exist, and it is to help you, our fellow countrymen!
Cheers to the real heroes, to every Juan, we salute you!
